The Melrose Ped/Bike Committee congratulates the City of Melrose, as well as the residents of Lynde St and Walnut St, for successfully implementing the City’s first “Shared Streets” quick-build traffic calming project on Friday, October 2nd. We were tremendously impressed with the dedication and enthusiasm of the residents, who came together as a neighborhood and decided to take action against the persistent problem of cut-through driving on this street.

Okay, it's settled. The COOLEST street in Melrose is Lynde Street, where residents heard about the City's "Shared Streets" grant, rallied together, and then approached the City about doing a quick-build project to encourage slower driving, and safer walking and biking.?? ? pic.twitter.com/eMEbo5pbOs
